Any day conquering your fears, has to be classed as a good day! In the last 2 weeks, I have had 2 of those days and today was one of them.
As I eluded to in my previous news post, writing my story (in a state of joyous vulnerability) was far more comfortable and natural for me than the idea of verbally relaying events and feelings. Today I travelled home to Exeter, after a lovely interview in Stoke on Trent (a good 3 and half hours drive away) at the UCB Radio Studios. Speaking with Ruth O’Reilly on UCB2 was such a privilege and the UCB team were so incredibly welcoming.
Just 2 weeks ago, I also was able to share some of my story with Dave Simpson at Cross Rhythms Plymouth. This was a little closer to home, as I work in the same building, so I had to walk about 5 metres to get to that one. Convenient! Dave made it so fun and easy.. even if my legs were shaking. What a pro!
What is incredible to me is the way that God is using this journey to touch lives and encourage others in a way that I never expected. I’m humbled by that. But he is also stretching me personally. Giving me opportunities such as these, to use my voice. To share my heart. To grow and step into new things. I haven’t needed to make this happen, but I have needed to say yes, despite my fears. God is so wonderful how he opens doors for us at just the right time even when they’re often not the doors that we expect. I know he will continue to use my little life, if I continue to say yes to his call and keep my eyes fixed on him and my heart motivated by his love.
